In the nocturnal itinerary that the article proposes during 72 hours (3 days), Adega Machado (since 1937) is refered as a must to visit, for being one of the best restaurants in the capital where every night you can enjoy the Portuguese Gastronomy and have contact live with Fado, musical genre recognized in 2011 by UNESCO.

The irreducible defender of traditional fado passed away one day ago at the age of 80. He became famous with popular themes like Fado Alcochete and Fado Pintéus.
He was the owner of one of the main fado houses in Alfama, “Taverna do Embuçado”.
He recovered and opened the Palace of Pintéus, in Loures, where he held several Fado events.
Avid to work in the studio, and even the commercialization of Fado, always preferred to sing live, especially in a circle of friends and lovers of Fado.
