Soon to leave the new CD of the fado singer Marco Rodrigues

The new record will consist of a series of unpublished and improbable collaborations with authors such as Carlão, Diogo Piçarra, Luísa Sobral, Capicua, Agir, Pedro da Silva Martins, Tiago Pais Dias and Marisa Liz (Amor Electro), Boss AC or ÁTOA, band that signs “Fado do Cobarde”.

Marco Rodrigues asked us to have nothing to do with the fado that wrote for him. With this he “fondled” the themes, turned them into traditional fados, in the attempt to reinvent tradition.

There is no generation of Portuguese who do not know and keep happy memories of the Lisbon Zoo, which this year turned 133 years old.

An entertainment spot for kids and adults, Portuguese and foreigners, where whole families, groups of children or simply animal fans spend unforgettable days observing more than 2000 animals of 350 species. Art, shows, exhibitions, gastronomy and guided tours celebrate Lisbon as the city that promotes dialogue between cultures, religions and people, regardless of their origin and age. From Friday to Sunday, the Festival Todos proposes a menu of multidisciplinary activities, from theater to dance, from circus to photography.

Highlights include the HALKA show by the Tangier Acrobatic Group, followed by a Moroccan dinner in the courtyard of the former Miguel Bombarda Hospital.

Works of Miró in the Ajuda National Palace. The exhibition covers a period of 60 years of the career of the Spanish painter and sculptor (1924 to 1981). There are 85 works, mostly unknown to the public, which include drawing, painting, gluing and tapestry work. For € 3 more you can enjoy visiting the palace.

Many will not know, but part of the verses of a fado sung by Amália Rodrigues (diva of Fado), “Fado do Abandono”, are reproduced at the entrance of the Forte de Peniche, a military building, during a period political prison. It may become the National Museum of Resistance.
