There have been parties of good humor, music and fado in various places of the city to celebrate the actor’s 40-year career, his repertoire and the many stories he has to tell (free admission).

In each session, Herman invites a friend to help the party, fado people: Ricardo Ribeiro, Marina Mota, Lenita Gentile, Iberian Blood, Marco Rodrigues, Filipa Cardoso, Jorge Fernando, Fábia Rebordão, FF, Diamantina, Katia Guerreiro and Maria da Faith.

Next is the fado singer Marco Rodrigues. Art as “palliative for all sorrows”.

THE GENERATIONS OF ARTISTS THAT HAVE PERFORMED THERE

We would like to follow the path of many fado singers who have passed through the history of Café Luso, which celebrates its 90th anniversary this year. Let’s go back to 1998 to remember a voice. That of the fado singer Natália Escoval who continues to build her career. Gratitude is reciprocal.

    THE FLIGHTS OF OUR ARTISTS

Because our artists also make their way out of their Casa de Fados, we support the flights of each artist. This freedom is important for their growth, with them goes our banner. In fact, we all grow up, even those who listen. Today our Fado went to Toronto (Canada) with fado singer Pedro Moutinho.

    THE FADO IN SCHOOLS

What has this image in common? Nothing, just the fact that this beautiful photographic session took place in the same school where the fadista Pedro Moutinho took our tradition. What has this image in common?

Nothing, just the fact that this beautiful photographic session took place in the same school where the fadista Pedro Moutinho took our tradition.

It is an initiative that is increasingly taking the Fado to the younger generation, educating them to listen and respect this tradition of Portuguese Intangible Heritage, recognized in 2011 by UNESCO and, perhaps, to awaken in some the will To give it continuity.
