The program “Há Fado no Cais” started in 2012, an initiative of the Fado Museum (Lisbon) and CCB (Cultural Center of Belém). It was imagined to bring the Song of Lisbon, Fado, to the great stage of Centro Cultural de Belém.

Occurring along the year, from the private artists of Adega Machado already presented Marco Rodrigues late March, at 30th November Pedro Moutinho, also fado singer, will be in stage.

Between 3 and 4th. Of June it will happen the second edition of CAIXA RIBEIRA, in OPorto. From Adega Machado cast will perform the fado singer Pedro Moutinho. Another one, Ana Sofia Varela, she sings one day a week (Mondays) at our fado house.

In two days 40 fado singers in 10 stages. Because of the huge success of the first edition, the auditorium did homage to the list of many consecrated artists, naming Ana Moura, Raquel Tavares, Gisela João, mara João Quadros, Jorge Fernando, José Manuel Barreto, among others.

Initiative from Caixa Geral de Depósitos (and), the musical producer Música no coração, also supported by Câmara Municipal do Porto (city council).

In Portuguese, Adega means cellar. With a name like this is supposed to keep many secrets and impress the visitors at the restaurant.

In a single year we present two or more Wine Lists.

Our proposals reflect the main regions of wine producers (11), the selection process is meticulous, so it is comfortable to suggest each Client about a specific wine that better enhances the sence of tasting of the chosen main course.

The Lisbon City Council, the Tourism Association of Lisbon (ATL) and the Association of Hotels, Restaurants and Similar Portugal (AHRESP) promotes the gastronomic competition “Lisboa à Prova” its main objectives: to promote the quality and diversity of gastronomic offer of Lisbon, boosting business fabric of the city restore and improve the tourism offer, raising awareness in the sector businessmen to the possible need for requalificarem their establishments, both with regard to facilities and equipment, such as quality of service.

The Adega Machado participated in the edition 2015 won 1 Fork. In the 2016 edition we want to bring at least two.
