We again participated in the 2018 edition, the 14th, of the gastronomic contest Revolta do Bacalhau.

Once again, we won the sympathy of the rebellious cod, which is, from the jury.

After the gold reached in an earlier edition, Chef Aléxis Gregório now received a diploma “for his important role in the development of gastronomy in Portugal”.

Congratulations to the Chef, thanks to his teams of the fado house in which he is chief executive, Café Luso and Adega Machado.

On the occasion of a new offer, Fado on the River, the Fado & Food Group has established a new Partnership that has special significance: Re-food.

Re-food is a movement, it presents new responses to the old challenges, local tools that can repair global damage and empower citizens to change the world and improve their own communities.

Since April, Re-food has collected food left over from the boat trip on the Tagus River.

We were honored to have the re-food founder, Mr. Hunter Halder, present at the launch. As a volunteer movement, we welcome all those who embody the Re-food mission.

The the name of the new CD by Pedro Moutinho, O Fado ao Contrário, the 6th he recorded.

Pedro Moutinho is one of those artists who makes a point of not losing the connection to his fado house, for realizing the importance and balance that this gives to his experience as an artist and affirmation in his career.

He performs in Adega Machado since 2012.

In this CD, O Fado ao Contrário, we may listen to classic fados and new themes, some of them denote their fidelity to some lyricists of his preference, such as Amélia Muge, Maria do Rosário Pedreira and Manuela de Freitas.

Started in March, it resumes today the programming

Began in Março, it continues until May. Could admires us why it takes place a Fado Festival in Spain, but in the reality nothing has of strange.

An  historical inheritance exists at the islands Canaries, result of the presence of the Portuguese in these islands, and such reflects in some of the adopted vocabulary, among other likenesses.

The invited fado singers in the edition 2019: Teresinha Landeiro, Sara Correia and Carminho.

Besides the concerts there are still other reasons of interest in the programming, exhibitions and lectures. Becomes easy to notice the importance that covers for the popularization of the Fado in this geographic area.

Another great innovation in 2019, Fado on the River.

Conceived as a twinned offer, two companies (Lisboat – operator of circuits in the river Tagus – and Fado & Food Group – manages the legacy of historic fado houses in Lisbon), which took the same inspiration, Lisbon, to give to know this city in a different way.

Fado on the River wants to show the city of Lisbon from a privileged setting, the river Tagus, and through the urban song born in it, the Fado. The regular production of these events allows to reassume the responsibility as official agents that present, explain and release the Fado to the visitors of the city of Lisbon, national and foreign.

We have chosen a time during which the transition of light between the day and the night, that invites to the recollection, to listen to the fado, but outside the one that is its space par excellence to listen this musical gender, the fado houses.
